In Defense of the Spaz Cats
OK, first of, in the spirit of full disclosure, I laughed. I laughed my ass off. There’s something just so ironic about seeing an animal know for it’s grace and athleticism in total fail mode, making fools of themselves.
But really, even in their shame and utter disgrace they seem to display a beauty of form, don’t they? The limbs splayed, that graceful arc…
The real point of this post though is that I’ve noticed a commonality in these images that seems to exonerate the kitties. They are all making their attempts from slippery surfaces, or even on a soft cloth on a slippery surface. Counter tops, slick tables, TVs, stuff that just wasn’t meant to be jumped from, and what’s more, surfaces where tough, sharp claws are a more a hazard than a help.
So, there it is. Their shoelaces were legitimately untied!
Just felt someone had to stand up for the kitties. The dogs were starting rumors. =)
